Hi! π
Soft on the Outside, Crisp on the Inside — that's me in a nutshell.
β
I'm usually smiling, calm, and approachable which is slightly misleading, because I graduated from my undergrad without a job, moved to Singapore on a whim, and joined a Japanese automotive company despite knowing very little about cars. Why? I simply wanted to become a “professional salaryman.” (A highly scientific career strategy, obviously)
β
Following that same decision-making process, I somehow ended up in Ireland, pursuing an MSc in Advertising and Creativity and conducting important research into whether creativity improves after a pint of Guinness.
β
Along the way, I also acquired a highly transferable skill at Uniqlo: folding clothes in about five seconds. I'm still waiting for the right opportunity to put that on a CV.
β
Writing is where that crisp side tends to show up.
What started as late-night journaling somehow snowballed into blog posts, an interview with NHK, and the slightly unrealistic but persistent hope that something I write might make someone stop scrolling for a second.
